Kits for the Boys

St Colman's boys football and hurling teams were presented with a full kit of jerseys, shorts and socks today in the school hall. The kit was sponsored by St Loman's and Mullingar Shamrocks Gaelic Football Clubs. Shane Dempsey, representing St Loman's G.F.C. and Denis Coroon , representing Shamrocks G.F.C. were there to hand over the kits. Let's hope we see the teams wearing the kits in the finals in Cusack Park next year!

Past Pupils Visit With Cup

Today we had a visit from four past pupils, Padraic Mc Kenna, John O'Reilly, Marc Eivers and Matthew Maslin. The boys, who play for Shamrocks G.F.C., recently won the Westmeath U14 Division 1 Football Championship Final and they came with cup in hand to proudly show it off and hopefully inspire some of our current young footballers.

Sports Awards

The entire school gathered in the lower playground today to see our some of young sports stars collect their awards. Mr Geraghty was M.C. and past pupil Fiona Keating very kindly came back to St Colman's to present the awards. Fiona is the goal-keeper on the Westmeath Ladies Senior Camogie Team.

First up were the winners of the I.N.T.O. Mini Sevens which was held in Caulry GAA grounds, Moate. Then we had the runners up in the Cumann na mBunscoil Boys' Football Division 1 final. Last but not not least were the winners of the Cumann na mBunscoil Camogie Division 2 final. Congratulations to all the players and their coaches.
