The boys and girls from 5th class have been working very hard over the first term learning about cycle safety as part of the Cycle Right training programme.
Dave and Helen from Bike Heroes and Westmeath Sports Partnership have facilitated the programme over the last 6 weeks. Cycle Right is the National Standard for Cycle Training and provides practical cycle safety and skills training.
The children from 5th class should be so proud of all they have achieved and we finished the programme today with an on-road cycle where they had an opportunity to put their skills in becoming competent and confident cyclists in to practice.
