All Ireland Camogie Winners
Today, the school was delighted to welcome back former pupil Fiona Keating and some of her team mates from last weekend's All Ireland winning camogie team. Fiona was quick to point out that she got a great start in St Colman's under the guidance of Ms Murphy, Mrs Walters and Margaret Collins and was delighted to return to where it all began. The children were treated to the team's now infamous version of 'Singing in the Rain' and got to pose for photographs with the girls afterwards. A huge thank you to Fiona and her team mates for dropping in today and we wish them many more successful outings in Croke Park in the future.

Camogie Training for Beginners
Every Monday during the month of October, Ms Murphy and Mrs Collins held camogie training for girls in first and second class. The girls all listened well to the instructions and performed well on the pitch. Perhaps we'll see them in years to come representing St Colman's in the Cumann na mBunscoil competition.

Cumann na mBunscoil Finals
2016
Congratulations to our girls and boys football teams who made it through to the Cumann na mBunscoil finals, which took place this week in Cusack Park. The girls were up first yesterday when they met a very strong team from Kinnegad. They played very well but unfortunately they were not victorious on the day. Today, it was the turn of our boys team playing against The Downs N.S. After another well played game, St Colman's emerged as the winners. Well done to all our young football players and their coaches!
