Cumann na mBunscoil Finals

Congratulations to our girls camogie and football teams who played in Cumann na mBunscoil finals this week in Cusack Park. First to take to the pitch on Monday was the camogie team. They played against Whitehall in what turned out to be a very tough and exciting game and  they emerged the winners.

Today was the turn of the footballers playing against Rathwire. This was another tough game and unfortunately they were beaten by a very strong opposition.

Well done to all the panel of players and their coaches.

Last year we were very fortunate that so many parents and children attended the various finals to support our teams. We hope to see as many as possible supporting our teams in Cusack Park again this year.

Celebrations Continue...

For the second year in a row, St Colman's had four teams who qualified for the finals. Three of our teams were victorious and the fourth team narrowly lost their final. To say that we are proud of all our young players would be an understatement. Congratulations to everyone!

Below are a few photos taken on each of the four Finals. Enjoy.....

GAA Celebrations in St Colman's

St. Colman's National School broke records this year in the Allianz Cumann na mBunscoil Finals 2011.  For the first time in the history of the school all 4 teams that reached the final were victorious.  To celebrate, the school organised an ice cream van to give each child a cone with a flake. The team members also had a pizza party.

GAA President Christy Cooney also visited and further acknowleged their win.
