Grandparents Day

happy grandparents day 2Today, as part of Catholic Schools Week 2014, a prayer service was held in St Paul's Church to celebrate grandparents. There was huge excitement among the children as they gathered in the church. Fr Paul Crosbie began the service by welcoming everyone and thanking all grandparents for the important role they play in their grandchildren's lives. Many grandparents took part in the ceremony accompanied by their grandchildren. We were asked to remember those who couldn't be present today, in particular those who are ill or in Heaven. The school choir sang beautifully which further enhanced this very special occasion. Afterwards everyone was invited back to the school for refreshments.

November Prayer Service

p1040619

During the month of November, staff and students were invited to write the names of loved ones who had passed away, on paper leaves and hang them on the Tree of Remembrance in our Sacred Space. Today and yesterday, four separate prayer services were held in the School Hall for the children and their teachers from first to sixth Class. Fr Paul Crosbie officiated and children from each class read prayers for the Holy Souls.
