Our School

St. Colman’s National School is a Catholic co-educational primary school situated in Bellview on the Delvin Road beside St. Paul's Church. St. Colman's N.S. was established in 1979.

Here at St. Colman’s, we provide a holistic education with a wide ranging programme of extra curricular activities enabling us to give the children a sense of self worth and value and to empower them to develop their individual potential as human beings.

To fulfill our wish of giving each child a sense of self worth and value, St. Colman’s is characterised as being a hive of activity throughout the school year. On a daily basis, working in a positive learning environment, staff and pupils are actively engaged with a varied and extensive curriculum

To achieve a high academic success, we strive to use the best possible range of teaching methodologies, resources, equipment and opportunities. To enhance this learning experience we engage in a wide and varied programme of activities spanning the spectrum from creative arts through to the sporting arena and everything in between.

Our school motto displayed below is DORAS FEASA FIAFRAÍ which translates as "The door to knowledge is enquiry".

In St. Colman's we encourage all children to have a positive learning attitude and we enjoy guiding them through their learning from Junior Infants to Sixth Class.
