As the dust settles after a heart-breaking loss in the Division 2 Cumann na mBunscol hurling final in Cusack Park we can reflect and thank all the boys on the team for their hard work and commitment throughout the year. Losing by such a tight margin is never easy to take, but the boys should hold their heads high with pride given the outstanding way they have performed and carried themselves all year, including final day. A special word of thanks to all the children, parents, grandparents and other members of the wider school community who turned up in their droves on final day to provide immense support for the team. I know this is greatly appreciated by the players and everyone at St Colman's.
For the players, it is onto the next challenge where a whole summer of competitive hurling with their clubs awaits. Exciting times ahead!
