We were very lucky today to have a visitor come to our class, fireman Joe! The children were so excited to meet him!
Joe kindly brought so many surprises for us, we got to see the fireman car, different fire hoses, masks, a fireman suit, hat and gloves and even got to try them on too!
We learned about fire safety in school and at home. Joe taught us about how to get out of a fire safely, how to call the fire brigade and how to keep our homes safe. We got books to read with our families about fire safety in the home and how to make a fire plan at home. The children got to ask Joe lots of questions too!
We had such a lovely morning learning all about fire safety and being a fireman!
