As part of our Science lessons this week, we have been working in groups to design a safety net for an egg! Sounds strange, I know. Our challenge was to create a landing craft to protect an egg, while it was dropped from a variety of heights, using only 3 materials. The children drew their prototype in groups, gathered their materials and constructed their craft together. Teacher had to be able to put the egg inside the landing craft and check the egg after each drop to see if it was still intact. We had 2 groups of children with a perfect egg after dropping it from 3 different heights. Disclosure: Mrs. Gilligan also survived the 3 heights without a scratch!
